A special feature of the water purification system is the modular structure of four steel containers, which are assembled on site into a walk-in building with a common roof. For this purpose, both the pipelines and the electrical engineering were designed as detachable connections between the containers. In this way, a water purification system could be realized, which on the one hand can be set up as a stationary treatment unit, but on the other hand can be set up and dismantled at short notice and with relatively little effort and transported in individual modules.

For the treatment of the complex pollutant mixture, the water purification plant combines the following process stages:

  • Fully automatic neutralization precipitation, chemical flocculation and sedimentation and solid filtration to remove the main pollutant fraight in the form of dissolved heavy metals
  • Protective ion exchange filtration for the separation of remaining heavy metal ions
  • Activated carbon filtration for the removal of hydrocarbon compounds
